The First Thread and Artificial Intelligence

The First Thread is an interactive experience designed to help you reflect on what you are noticing in your life and become curious about what may be beneath the surface.

The experience uses artificial intelligence provided by OpenAI and is hosted using Replit. When you participate, the information you choose to enter into the conversation is processed by these technology providers as necessary to generate and deliver the experience.

Your conversation may also be stored in a PostgreSQL database used by The First Thread application.

If you choose to provide your email address for the five-day follow-up journey, your email address and information associated with your experience, including a summary of your conversation, may be sent to and stored by Brevo so the requested email journey can be delivered.

Please do not enter passwords, financial account information, Social Security numbers, medical records, or other highly sensitive personal information into The First Thread.

The First Thread is intended for personal reflection and educational purposes. It is not medical care, mental health treatment, diagnosis, legal advice, or another form of licensed professional advice.

How I Use Your Information

I may use information collected through this website to provide experiences, resources, services, or information you request; respond to questions or messages; deliver emails you have chosen to receive; operate and maintain the website and The First Thread; understand how visitors use the website and experience; improve my content and services; process appointments or purchases; maintain the security and functionality of the website; and meet applicable legal requirements.

I do not sell your personal information.

Email Communications

If you provide your email address to receive The First Thread follow-up journey, newsletters, or other communications, your information may be stored and processed through Brevo.

For The First Thread, this may include a summary generated from your experience so that the five-day email journey can continue from what you discovered.
